Sunyoung Jang, founder of Sun Classic Pilates, is a certified Romana’s Pilates Level V Instructor dedicated to helping clients build strength, balance, mobility, and body awareness through authentic Classical Pilates training. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Sunyoung first discovered Pilates after experiencing a knee injury during personal training. What began as part of her recovery quickly became a lifelong passion for movement, alignment, and functional strength.
Seeking the highest level of Classical Pilates education, Sunyoung trained at True Pilates in New York under Romana’s Pilates Level III Instructor Nancy Jean. She continued her advanced studies and mentorship under internationally respected Master Instructors Cynthia Shipley and Sari Mejia Santo, preserving the authentic teachings passed down from Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska.
In 2019, Sunyoung became a certified Romana’s Pilates Level V Instructor. Her teaching focuses on precision, control, posture, flexibility, core strength, and personalized movement training tailored to each client’s body and goals. Through private and individualized sessions at Sun Classic Pilates, she is committed to helping clients move better, feel stronger, and develop long-term wellness through the original Classical Pilates method.
